All owners and occupants of homes or businesses within the Town of Fordoche are required to install their physical address numbers on their property for identification by emergency 911 departments.
The numbers must be made of high reflective material and at least 3" tall per number.
This small requirement is very crucial to be identified in the event of an emergency. It could mean life or death!
ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF POINTE COUPEE PARISH
The Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury is providing monthly collection of white goods and bulky waste at roadside for residents of Pointe Coupee Parish, excluding the City of New Roads. Please review the following collection schedule for 2018.
For all residents who live in the Village of Morganza and North of t he Morganza Spillway the collection dates are as follows: January 2, February 5, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3, October1, November 5, December 3.
For all residents who live south of the Morganza Spillway the collections dates are as follows: January 3, February 6, March 6, April 3, May 8, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, November 6, December 4.
White goods and bulky waste will be collected on the same days. However, white goods will also be collected when identified by visual inspection, or by calling Pointe Coupee Parish Public Utilities Department at (225) 638-8507 or by calling Lionel Boudreaux at (225) 638-3419 or (225) 324-7654 and providing the collection address. Bulky waste will only be collected on Mondays in the northern part of the parish and on Tuesdays in the southern part of the parish on the first full week of each month. All items must be placed at roadside for collection with tree limbs/branches and white goods placed in separate piles.
White goods are considered to be the following: washers, dryers, stoves, ovens, refrigerators, air conditioners, hot water heaters, and other small appliances. Bulky waste is considered to be the following: tree limbs and branches, no longer than eight (8) feet in length and no larger than 24 inches in diameter, furniture such as sofas, chairs and mattresses. Collection of construction debris, wire or metal will not be provided or accepted. The Police Jury is prohibited and will not collect whole trees that have been cut down off of private properties and placed along the roadside.
