The Town of Fordoche was incorporated in 1961 under the Lawrason Act with a Mayor-Council form of government. The Council has 5 seats that are elected "At Large". The chief of police is elected.  All elected officials serve 4 year terms.

Since 1961, the town has extended its incorporation 4 more times covering 2.43 land miles.  The 2010 U.S. Census data shows that our population is 966.


Town Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.

Mayor's Court is held on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.

7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
